	LaPAGLIA STERLING FLORAL PIN: GEORG JENSEN DESIGNER Lovely sterling pin in a sculptural floral motif. Marked on the back: "INTERNATIONAL STERLING, LaPaglia Designed, 117". Pin measures 1 7/8 inches by 1 1/4 inches. Excellent condition.The following information on Alphonse LaPaglia can be found on the Online Encyclopedia of Silver Marks, Hallmarks & Makers' Marks: Alphonse La Paglia (1907-1953), was born in Sicily, according to "Silver in American Life" (Yale University, 1979) he studied silversmithing with Georg Jensen in Denmark. LaPaglia emerged in the U.S. in the early 1940's, designing and creating jewelry for the firm of Frederick Lunning (Georg Jensen USA Inc.), he also worked independently crafting jewelry and holloware in his Summit, New Jersey workshop. In 1952, La Paglia established a working relationship with the International Silver Company. Under their auspices, he moved his workshop to Meriden, Connecticut and formed the International Sterling Craft Associates. There, with just a handful of assistants, he created modernist Danish inspired holloware and jewelry that was retailed by International. Alphonse La Paglia died of a heart attack at the age of 46 in 1953. The rights to his designs became the property of International and were continued in production. The International Sterling Craft Associates continued on under the directorship of Kurt Eric Christoffersen until c.1957. $125 Order #J100220
4 OZ STERLING SILVER SIGNED ARTISAN CUFF BRACELET Fascinating "drip" design, heavy sterling silver cuff bracelet. Weighs 4 ounces. Signed by the artisan, but I have not been able to make out the name which is etched by hand. See photo. Cuff measures 2 inches wide at the mid-point. The inside circumference measures approximately 7 1/2 inches. It's difficult to get an exact measure. My wrist measures 6 3/8 inches and it is big on me. It has been acid tested as sterling silver. EXQUISITE EARLY FILAGREE SILVER MARCASITE NECKLACE Beautifully crafted, delicate filagree sterling necklace, accented with sparkly marcasites. Exceptional quality. The necklace has a "STERLING" mark on top of a star shape, and a sideways M above a C inside a star shape. In The Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers by Dorothy T. Rainwater & Martin and Colette Fuller this mark is attributed to Herbert Cockshaw, Jr.- New York, New York. Listed in 1904 as Howard & Cockshaw Company; Herbert Cockshaw successor in 1915 and Herbert Cockshaw, Jr. in 1936-37 in the Jobbers Handbook. Wonderful, unpolished condition. $199 Order #J00924

COOLEST 3-D STERLING SPEAR FISHERMAN PENDANT I wouldn't be surprised if this piece is one of a kind! It is so unusual and cool! A rectangular sterling pendant with a 3 dimensional spear fisherman and fish. Nice heavy casting. It weighs 22 grams. There are 3 hallmarks on the back. The only legible one says: "925".
